Capture decisions, not every rule
A project style sheet is most useful when it records recurring choices and exceptions. You do not need to reproduce a full published style manual. Focus on decisions that a future contributor could otherwise make differently.
The template below lets you record a preferred form, the context in which it applies, and an example. Download the entries as a text file. The website does not save or transmit them.
Give the sheet an owner
Name the person who can approve new conventions. Review the sheet when the audience, publication format, or project requirements change. Keep unresolved questions separate from approved rules.
